Rock Band Pedal Metal review!

Ok, So I broke my first Rock Band bass pedal in half, snap....done. Ordered another one, and the first day it started to get a huge crack in it (Playing drums on hard/expert requires you to get into the game so they break, everyone's pedals break) The reason why: When you push the pedal down to where it makes contact and the game recognizes the push-down it stops going further. However, the middle of the pedal can still be pushed in about half an inch. So with the top and base mashed down all the way, you can still bend the middle, which breaks......quickly. Go to youtube and watch this video for reference of how fast you have to hit the pedal (Note, everytime the solid yellow line comes across the screen, you have to stomp on regular plastic pedal):

So I stopped playing it and started my search for an alternative. I searched a few forums and google helped out alot. I heard about this "Pedal Metal" off ebay, it is a 1/4'' thick cut of billet aluminum that is cut to fit the pedal. It came with the pedal, instructions, a self-tap in screw, and seven regular screws. The pedal metal came with pre-drilled countersunk screw holes (so the screw heads won't stick above the pedal and makes it all flush and smooth). It costed roughly 30$ and does the job wonderfully. No more breaking and no more thinking "I shouldn't play this song because I may break the pedal which will cripple the whole drum playing side of Rock Band.

Hope someone finds this useful.
