Are they calibrated? Are they running the same signal? Are they from the same line of HDTVs?

We're not talking about the signal. Anyone can see a difference between 1080p and 720p signals. We are talking about the resolution of the HDTV itself. For example my Panasonic plasma can accept 1080p via HDMI, but it has a 720p resolution. Does that mean a Panasonic plasma w/ a 1080p resolution will look better with the same 1080p signal? No!

720p and 1080p resolution displays look the same assuming the other aspects are constant
