Yet another example of the government sniffing around where it isn't wanted. They already read your emails and sensor your phone calls, can detain you without cause right from the street for 48 hours, search your house without a warrent. and how they're gonna get the ISP's you pay for service to impose restrictions on what you can download.

Woot. Its a gamble if they currently catch you, I've had friends who've had letters from the ISP containing copies of Take Down notices sent from record/film making companies to said ISP demanding an imidiate removal of hosted files. (In their case, Edonkey downloads which were being shared)

I on the other hand never have, in about 5 years of having the internet. we're even on the same exchange/sub host/network.

Can the ISP's of the UK afford to lose 6 million paying customers? I doubt it.
