Yeah, it's a lot like the others. IT'S A SEQUAL. lol. However I have enjoyed these games immensely. This one has more variety than the last one by a good amount. TWO full characters, Bloody Palace, lots of level variety compared to DMC3 ( <- had a little bit of urban, one lvl of the Leviathan, and the rest was in Temen-ni-gru; where this one had urban, snow, castle, mines, ghost town, underground labs, forest, mid-air, and inside the Savior.)
If your formula for this game is jump, slash, shoot, I don't see how you could get many style points, which is a theme of the game. I usually do a pull, upercut, air combo, smash, down-slash, combo, dodge, shoot, pwn kinda thing. Then usually something similar but with different combos, Like one of Nero's that I particularly enjoy where he just beats them into the ground weilding his sword like an axe until impaling them and sliding them across the floor. There's also the Exeed functions and different Devil-Bringer attacks to factor for Nero, where there's the style switching and Devil-Arms for Dante. Upgrade your Gunslinger and use Pandora if you think you don't like this game. Just try it.
