Army Of Two First Impression

I picked this title up last night, and can't say how much fun this game is with another person. If you're looking for the ultimate co-op title, then this is it. If you're looking for a single player experience then you might want to look elsewhere.

The story, starting out is alittle derivative, and pretty cookie cutter. You play ex-army rangers that work for a private mercernay outfit. I've made it all the way through the Afghanistan mission with my roomie and it was the most fun i've had playing a game with someone else in along time. The team dynamic is amazing, through the implementation of "Aggro". Basically it works kind of like how aggro works in MMORGPs for all you WoW fanatics. One of your team will try and take the heat from the NPCs, laying down fire and attracting attention while you partner can sneak around and pick them off. There are also co-op events in the game, the most wicked being the back-to-back moments. Back-to Back is a matrix like moment where you and your partner next to each other and twist around taking out a slew of opponents. The next big feature is the healing option. If your partner goes down it's up to you to drag him to safety and heal him, and if you or your partner dies it's game over.

We only played one round of multi-player so I can't speak too much on it, but definitely seemed engaging, although the co-op element didn't seem to be as important here.

So definitely go pick this up if you have someone to play it with, kind of reminds me of the old school arcade days playing side by side.
