You'll love it. Its different but not in bad way.
IX - is my second fav after VII. Thats a good one, enjoy that.
X - was really cool but impossible to lose at it. Only FF game that I did and found 100% of everything
XI - sucked out my life for a good 6-8 months, I'll never play another MMO games again.
XII - Was cool but I couldnt finish it because PS2 games look like crap on my TV. That was the last PS2 games I bought/played
