the drums are the best part. trust me, it is worth it to get the drums.

guitar is ok, but if you're coming from GH3 you will find that rock band's guitar career is A LOT easier. there are some tricky guitar songs available as DLC, but if we're just talking about the retail game disc, solo guitar is pretty weak.

if you want to play with friends, get RB (with all the instruments). if you want to play alone, get it with drums, or at least prepare to buy a lot of DLC if you want to keep things interesting for guitar.

also you might as well buy the whole package, because if you buy the drums separately they are a colossal rip-off. if you buy the game disc and drum kit separately, you will spend more money than if you just bought the whole package with mic and guitar.
