Thats unusual.

1. do you have any issues when connected 'wired'? if not, when you are connected that way, then plug the usb adaptor into your 360 and see if it finds the network wirelessly also.

2. when the 360 wireless dongle is connected, you will see a green light on it, not red. Red means there's a fault! could be hardware. maybe the usb port on ur 360 is faulty!
