1) Most games will not give you any sort of aerobic workout. Ones that will that come to mind are maybe: WiiSports (boxing basically) and the upcoming WiiFit of course.
2) After playing WiiSports boxing, I feel a bit tired, it is definitely aerobic. Otherwise, most games you sit on your butt like anything else.
3) My wife and I do not use it for that, but again, WiiFit will fill that niche for interested people.
4) The Wii Number is how you communicate with other Wiis to send messages and stuff. Every game that has online gameplay for Wii gives you a different "friend code." They are usually 12 digits. For example, I have a friend code (FC) for Smash Bros. Brawl and a different one for Mario Kart Wii. I share these with my friends who have Wii's and they give me theirs. We add each other's friend codes and then we can play online together. Since you are also in IT, basically the two consoles "handshake." You cannot request a "handshake" however, you and your friend must both put in each other's friend code's independently. This is the number 1 criticism with nintendo's online service.
5) Wii has a built-in wi-fi card that has been plenty sufficient for my online gaming needs. It connects to standard home routers, and needs NO special transmitter, etc.
6) The service for online play is called Nintendo Wi-Fi Connect. As I mentioned in point 4, the service has it's critiques, especially the cumbersome friend code procedure. The second biggest concern is a lack of voice chat. I hate this personally. My friends and I play Mario Kart Wii and have our 360's set to private chat to talk while we play! LOL Both consoles running, but it works. LOL
Hope this helps you decide, Ifti. I absolutely LOVE my Wii, but I have no dilusions that the online will ever be as good as 360 or PS3. We have people over quite often, and it's great for entertaining as well.
