i bought a x360 from ebay last wk. i am pretty handy with a soldering iron and with electronics. i went in this knowing that i could possibly be losing money by buying a broken x360.

i had a co-worker give me a controller for free and i looked for an x360 with the power/av cables. i bought it for $100 flat, but the auction said it had an e74 error and that is what i was looking for. but when i got it, it had and e73 error, not what i was looking for. i looked around online and found no fixes for this error in particular. so i got back in contact with the seller and he happily accepted it back with no probs. i got lucky on that one.

i just bought another one on ebay a few hours ago with an x clamp fix and the error displayed stating that update has failed. this one came with nothing. so i figure that it can be justified by buying the power/av cables without breaking the bank.

i feel if anyone does buy one off ebay, then they need to know they run the risk of losing $40-150

Ya im not quite sure i want to buy one off of ebay.. Ive looked around and almost none broken ones come with the cables. Also alot of those xboxs are prolly not fixable, I assume they have already tried to fix them if they deal with so many of them, like the stores on ebay that sell a bunch. Just my opinion. Also i dont see any that go for around 50 or so and im not willing to pay 100 bucks for a broken one..
