Ending an anticlimax? (No spoilers)
Hi guys,
Well I've just finished the storyline missions (at just over 70%) and to be honest, after such a good game, I felt that it was a bit of an anti climax.
I've been enjoying all the missions immensely and have never been so addicted to a game before, even given my love of the GTA series. But after the credits rolled I kind of felt like I hadn't really achieved anything.
In Vice City you turn up in a city as a nothing and work your way up and up until you practically own the place.
Its the same in SA, CJ arrives as a good for nothing hood-rat and at the end of it all you feel like you've built the character up into a credible gangster (Sorry...'gangsta')
But at the end of this Niko was just the same as he'd arrived, apart from having a bit of cash in his pockets, he's still just a loner thug living in a one bedroom apartment in a big city, he isnt the head of anything, nobody respects him any more than at the start and its all over.
Am I the only one who feels that, although the missions are great fun, it was nothing more - just a string of missions based on a story line, rather than seeing your character build up and progress through the world?
