Have you tried different strategies? The best way to approach an enemy base is by luring them out one by one. Have your two allies hold back and go and lure either 1 or 2 enemies out and bring them to where your allies are so you can all kill them. This is a slower process but it is quite effective. Just try and change things up a bit and experiment and I'm sure you will find the results you are looking for.
