I was reading something yesterday about setting up network printers, and it mentioned that the easiest way to do this with HP printers was to use telnet. After reading this I noticed that my router (Netgear DG834) has the option to open port 23 in the Services tab, but afaik such inexpensive routers don't support telnet themselves. So, is this a feature so that peripherals such as printers can be configured with telnet via the router, or am I missing something?
