You guys shouldn't complain about this so much. With a major release, its not a matter of IF it gets delayed, its a matter of how many times and to when. Nintendo fans had to wait a full extra YEAR for SSBB. Xbox players had to wait a danged long time for Halo 2.

Aside from that, I believe you WILL be able to control pelicans in Halo Wars. I've been looking up info on it in forums and on youtube lately, and a gameplay demonstration is already on youtube that demonstrates the use of a pelican and 3 new human vehicles. The game takes place at a part of the series where there are many spartans, indicating it will be happening before halo 3 and there is some chance that the flood will be included somehow.

The difficulty is that they will need to find a way to include the flood that doesn't contradict the events of halo 1-- The covenant and humans did not recodnize the flood when they saw them, meaning they must have been new to them.

The Covenant will be using Scarabs, which are eerily like the protoss carriers from starcraft, and the humans will have a laser that fires from space, almost exactly like a nuke or something.

The good news is microsoft is doing extremely well with this game by the looks of it, especially considering they've lost bungie's support, and while some similarities can be seen in the races it appears that it will not just be a starcraft rip-off.
