I'll give that... it was somewhat overrated. So was Halo 3. Halo 3's single player longevity can't hold a candle to IV's, IMO. I'm still popping GTA IV in and playing it for 2 hours straight, and i'm not even doing any campaign-related gameplay; just f...ing around. The addictive Halo MP is wearing off, and i find myself playing it for an hour online, and getting really bored, really fast. And i'd never play Halo's campaign more than twice.
So, yes, overrated, but not by much if you ask me. The depth of the game needed to be a little more. With that said, it still one of the best games to come out this generation. GTA IV trumps Saints Row, but Saints Row had a lot more depth as far as things you could do in it. And because Rockstar chose not to go too deep with it, Saints Row 2 will be looking really good in October when it comes out. Hopefully it will be a decent upgrade in physics and gameplay than in the first. With that, a new story and a new plot; Saints Row 2 may take away some of my time with IV.
