you can connect the drive directly to your PC if you have Sata inputs anyway. You just need to open up the hard drive case.
This is just an adapter which means you don't have to pull apart the hard drive, but you're getting the same result.

I connect mine the manual way and use 360 Xplorer to copy and save files to the HDD. Pretty handy.
