Good point... it looks like a simple system update would allow for us to use third party USB drives; there are some inexpensive huge drives out there, but of course MS would never allow for that. There is a product out (from Datek) which allows for you to connect your 360 to your computer, and utilize it's harddrive to save or backup your 360 drive. I don't know if the 360 can "see" your PC as an extended drive to save stuff too, but at least you can recover your drive contents incase of failure.
