Back to the topic, i've seen both tvs. 1080p .. and most tvs with 720p can go up to 1080i always. Personally,720p looks amazing. I saw the SC vs GA game, I thought it was so cool how you cool see the water glare off of the helmets from the rain. It look like real paint.
I went to bestbuy, I saw the difference from 1080p and 720p. If you actually look at them together, 1080p feels like you can reach out and touch it. My parents are in the film, supposedly the world should be in HD in 2010, this is gonna rock!

Yeah Mitsubishi is making a laser variation of DLP.
You compared TVs in Best Buy...meaning they're not close to calibrated. 1080p is supposed to give you more detail in an image. What you probably saw was a difference in settings and you simply liking one more than the other

No, actually it's not that everything will be HD...everything will simply be digital. Very big difference.
