my MOH review
Unique features:
Dropping from the aircraft allows you to land where ever you want in the battlefield. Mess up the landing and you have to struggle with the chute to get it off. often a bad landing gets you killed as the germans like to beat you to death.
T
he levels have multiple objectives, so being able to chose exactly where you land means you can try attacking the objectives from different directions, and in different order.
Before starting each mission you are shown a slide show of your objective. In game there is no map so you must study the slides to work out what your objectives look like.
You then select a primary/secondary weapon and a pistol (there are just 2 pistols in the game).

Weapon upgrades
The more kills you get, the more upgrades you get per weapon, even the grenades upgrade (i wont tell you what the upgrades are at this point).
Now its nice to get attachments to the weapon at times (like a knife melee attack), but also the upgrades can make you throw the weapon down in disgust!
At one point the G43 semi auto rifle suddenly gets a scope and makes it harder to use in close quarters battles..then at medium to long range the scope often doesnt focus well enough.
Also some weapons using stripper clips have very pants reload actions, where they just dump the stipper clip into the weapon (this is impossible to do and would jam the gun).
When u upgrade the screen blurs to the point where only close range targets can be seen, so your combat effectivness goes to almost 0 for a few seconds!
Overall it would be nice to take upgrades on and off when you like so it doesnt spoil your combat effectivness.
EA said the enemy would counter attack....well they dont unless its a scripted sequence (kinda a let down)
Graphics
When jumping from the aircraft you will see objects in the level pop into existance as you get closer, kinda pants looking.
some textures are not done well and you can see walls/doors flashing a little as underlayed textures show through.
overall texture quality on levels and characters is kinda low for a next gen title
when inside a building during the day, you often get everything outside glowing yellow.
step outside and suddenly everything is back gray and dull.
enemy can clip through walls so you see guns poking through corners etc.
enemy can clip into the floor and then be under the level shooting you
enemy ragdolls sometimes go stretchy when killed by grenades
fire and smoke effects are very 2d cutout ish
one level you can look out at a beach landing scene, the american soldiers are 2d cutouts running through objects like big rocks, then they vanish as they get close.
physics
grenades bounce way too much. If you hit an enemy in the head and the nade flys back at you like the german is made of rubber
sometimes when a enemy is shot they go flying like they were hit by an anti tank round
panzerfaust rounds have a stupid large blast radius and kill you from a missed shot.
ai
When enemy are killed you can take their weapons or sometimes they drop ammo boxes as well. (at times these ammo boxes just float in the air)
enemy tanks drive around a pre set track or sit still so are dull to fight
friend and foe recognition doesnt work well cause allies can stand beside germans and not notice each other.
Americans stand infront of you all the time blocking your view.
Later in the game you face enemys who hip shoot mg42s, and can take
2 full mags of stg44 ammo...kinda stupid for a ww2 game.

Overall
Sound effects are excellent
Ai kinda pants
physics a bit too rubbery
player movement is very good
default controls are not useful
story is very over the top and exadurated
gfx kinda poor for next gen
its an ok rental due to the length of the game
