ah yes but you neglect the sad, sad, truth of the story line, which with out doubt is the worst part of the game, you really play the role of desmond, reliving his ancestors memory and in fact its set in the modern time, at the start you get put in a ANIMUS which is kinda a memoy machine, so your constantly coming back to the modern time to rest/sleep. The game is brilliant, my favourite game ever, but there is a LOT of waiting around especally at the start and during the lengthy clips. A lot of people will not like the game because of the waiting around(but you do get to move around during the clips which is pretty cool). Still i love almost everything about the game
