I'm not too bothered about the release date as there are plenty of other games to keep me entertained until then and if they're improving it its all good.

What do you mean that isn't the news, it was just a general update. And since Rockstar has already stated that GTA4 won't be massively online, I think 16 players is a reasonable guess.
