I'm really looking forward to GTA IV, but... Thread

Right, this is a thread for all your doubts on GTA IV.

My problem is that currently I own a 360 and I love it for the online and stuff, but I've never really been into playing single player on the console.
Recently I've been thinking of purchasing myself a PS3 in the new year as it will most probably get a bit cheaper or there will be better packages. The thing is I'm stuck about is I'm still not sure whether to buy GTA IV on ps3 or 360. They will basically be the same game but 360 will have more downloadable features. The thing I'm thinking about the ps3 though is that it will be quieter and possibly faster? I am a pretty big GTA fan and I want the best experience possible without the loudness of the 360 and possible over heating if I play for too long.

What are your views on this issue? Do you have a 360 and ps3? What console will you purchase GTA IV on?
Please, this is not an arguement on what console you think is better, just what console you think GTA IV will have a better experience on. Oh and btw I owned all the previous GTA titles on playstation.

Also the reason I'm thinking of getting a ps3 is for other titles like The Getaway, when it finally decides to come out.

Please also share any of your doubts on GTA IV.

the 360 is rumoured to have more downloadable content, i would personally prefer it on that. as for the overheating issue, i think its a little overhyped, i doubt it would over heat if its well ventalated, i've left mine on for 48 hours straight and had no issues.

also there is said to be no inbetween loading screens so there should be no slowdown on either the 360 or PS3, so thats shouldnt be a contributing factor, each is taylored to the specific system.

in short, i would say that it really doesnt make a difference which one you get, both versions would be great, i think the PS3 version might also have different downloadable content.

Microsoft paid I think 50 million dollars for exclusive episodic content that the PS3 won't be getting. If you don't care about that I'd get it for whichever console you feel most comfortable with.

For the downloadable content, you should probably get the 360 version.

i would say get the 360 version because of the downloadable content also the online might be better with xbox live. should run the same on both consoles though.

Yeah, but the thing is is that you will most probably have to pay for the downloadable content. Also now me and my brother have decided that we are probably gonna buy a ps3 soon because I bought a 3 red light 360 before the new warrenty thing came out and i kept it not doing anything for a while and then the warrenty thing came in and I got it repaired for free and I got it for like 80quid and I already had my own 360. So we are gonna sell that for like £180 or whatever and I've got a Halo 3 Legendary I can sell and then I've got bout 100quid saved so I can buy a PS3

If i read your post correctly, i think you said you aren't really into single player. You also said you're a GTA fan. What gives? GTA is singleplayer.

Nah I meant I'm not a great fan on singleplayer games on the 360, I only play like online game on my 360, thats why I'm considering getting a ps3 to play single player games like GTA, etc...
