99 Nights
Everybody loves taking a massive sword into hordes of enemies and just plowing through them. I'm wondering about getting 99 Nights, but review sites seem to hate it, and so do some of the people i've asked. Is it worth getting? I dont want it for story or music, just a game to cut some bad guys up. Worth buying just for that?

I had it for a while, quite liked it. A complete button basher, but fun none the less. 1000 hit combos and shit like that. Plus you can get new weapons and power ups. Give it a go.

I say give it a go also. I've had it for a while and haven't had a lot of time to play it, but it's a fun game and at a good price. But if you have a freind that comes over or a brother to play games with Samurai Warriors has a Co-op that is good fun {but the graphics are poor}.
Thats the reason I haven't played this much because I played SW2 with the wife for hours upon hours. Dead Rising is great fun also {if you have a HD TV/Monitor}
But you can upgrade your weapons, it's good stuff if you like those kinds of games. It has good music also.
And a side note: Most of the Japan reviews for the game are pretty high.

I only wanted it as a button basher really. I'm not too interested in a really deep hack n slash game, just one where I can grin at how many people died with one stroke of my sword.

It's not a bad game but I would go for Warriors Orochi or Dynasty Warriors 6 as they're both the same kind of thing but have a bit more longevity.

The game bored the crap out of me. What really sucked is that you can spend an hour slashing every single enemy but if you die you start completely over. The game was fun until you die for the first time then you think about how much time you are going to waste just to do things over again. Probably the most repetetive game I have ever played.
