We got a surprise this morning from Rockstar though. We thought we had the game in our hands. Read on for more and images…

This morning we got a box at our offices that felt a little heavy. We open it and there are 6 copies of GTA IV! We look closer and see the dreaded “RP” and realize we’ve been sent the boxart sans THE GAME!

Anyways, we thought we’d share with you the official boxart for both the PS3 and 360 versions. We however won’t show the images of us crying when we realized these were dummy boxes.

Rockstar begins to deploy dummy GTA IV boxart
Rockstar has begun to start sending out dummy boxes of GTA IV to retailers and press, the boxes include the official box art and there are three different designs to choose from. The retailers and press also will receive a letter with it stating that there will be a fourth design coming soon [no clues as to what it could be]. Which one is your favourite?
