Anyone else excited for this game? It was just released today. I'm thinking about picking it up after class. The one review I've read is from IGN but they have been major wenches recently. The game looks good and it's really the first hack and slash to interest me in awhile.

I'm on the last of the 3 islands and a few minor missions away from the end of the game.
It has taken roughly 30 hours on easy to finish but that includes 2 hours or being totally lost
To sum it up it is a damned good fun hack and slash game very much int he vein of Conan and other combo based hack and slash games.
You have to slay Legion to liberate parts of a huge island and therefore free vikings to join your army.
When enough are freed and you fulfil various other requirements you can attack the main stronhold in an army vs army battle (you still remain on foot).
Also there are a few dragons you can the favour of who attack selected targets on the battlefield in exchange for runes which you get for killing sub-bosses.
It is good fun but not the best game I have ever played.
I'd give it a 7/10 but remember, there is no MP at all and no DLC is planned so what you buy is all you get...

I saw a trailer for it last week and was curious about it.....saw an advert last night on t.v and was put off......I don't know if it had anything to do with just seeing a stupid annoying advert for Eastenders tho which put me in a bad mood...

I'd like to get this game...however I've heard it gets very repetitive. Is this true?

Well it can be a bit repetative at times but some of the tasks are very challenging and keep you interested, not to mention it looks like at the end you may have to face Fenrir the giant but I can't guarantee that! We've had this game rented for a week or so now and plan to buy it now, it is a very good game that requires skill and tactical mindedness.

8/10 for me.

2nd Champion boss in the room in the monastry I have fought him 26 times now. I have done the pattern of "b" "x" then "a" on him over 10 times and stil he lives what am i doing wrong??
