I reckon the theme park sounds the best or maybe it could be gta but just there no gangs or people there all zombies instead and as you progress through the city you meet various survivors (and psychopaths) and various challenges. Like the old dead rising you could get cars and motorbikes and use literally anything as a weapon

I think it should continue the story, Like he made it out of the area and what not, but what about his journey to civilization? Like maybe have you fight your way through either a small town or a small city. I think that would be cool.
