New Usergroup

I am creating a new usergroup called X3F Noobs.

The permissions will be based on the registered users group but there will be differences in the options available to each group.

I am forced to do this essentially because some members are unable to use certain features of the site without acting like children (idiot children).

The only way to be placed in this new group is by basically being a twit. Don't flame. Don't troll. Don't post about things you shouldn't be posting about and/or linking to things you shouldn't be linking to. I don't mind a little language here and there, but excessive vulgarity has become a problem too - keep that in mind.

So, X3F Noobs can be considered "registered Users - lite". Permissions for X3F Noobs will be the same for the registered member group with the following exceptions:

This usergroup will NOT be able to do the following:

- Rate threads
- Use email to a friend
- Tag threads
- Create tags
- Post polls
- Be invisible
- Use a custom title
- Email members
- Leave/view user notes
- Upload profile pics
- Upload avatars
- Have a signature
- Use the reputation system
- Use the photo album
- Post/use the visitor message system
- Participate in social groups

X3F users will also not be eligible for any prizes/giveaways nor will they be allowed to compete in any contests.

So this is a usergroup you don't want to be a part of. Being a member of this user group is only slightly above the Probate group. Indeed, if you find yourself as a member of this group and continue to misbehave, probate is your next stop.

So, is this like a one demerit type of thing or, is it for repeat offenses?

Typically, repeat offenses. But not necessarily exclusively. Admin will be the only usergroup that can add/remove people from this new group.

I know this is off-topic but, the font seems to change sometimes. Oh, and will embedded videos be back?

I didn't even realize they were gone. I use some Add-On's to block that kind of stuff....so I didn't even see it. (no pun intended).

Thanks. Not only vulgarity...but posts of an extreme crude and tasteless topic. We have far too much of that around here and it makes this site unappealing to many who regularly visit...myself included.
