Assassin's Creed having major problems with PS3 and 360!

Yes it's finally happened, Assassin's Creed, the game just about every gamers wants, is having two problems:

1. Xbox 360: The develepers are having trouble fitting it onto a DVD9 (as opposed to Sony's Blu-Ray). Rumor has it, this can be fixed by either removing the 5 extra languages on the game (OH NOES!! I can no longer play the game in german!!), Using multiple discs, or cacheing extra data onto the 360's hard drive, this would of course mean the game would require storage space. I personally smell BS with this whole thing, i mean, if Mass Effect can fit on one DVD9, why couldn't Assassin's Creed? Some people are even going as far as to saying this is merely a hype technique used by the industry; "Our game is so technically advanced we're struggling to make it run on your games console! But we should manage to get it working by release date..."

2. PS3: Now the PS3's problems are apparently more complex due to the way the memory is handled. I would've thought they would've taken this into accout when making the game personally, but maybe they're just plain n00bs?

Anyway though, i haven't actually managed to read the article myself due to the immense amout of traffic it's getting form digg.com so im just repeating what i've heard. Here is the link, it might not work immediatly:

Assassins Creed - PS3 and X360 having problems! (Wont fit on 360 DVD and PS3 causing memory issues)

...and the full article....

Assassin's Creed struggling to fit on 360 DVD - Assassin's Creed for Xbox 360 News - Pro-G

All I can say is please, please, PLEASE, no delays! What are your thoughts?

update: I apologise, i only just realised there is a thread for Assassin's Creed stuff and someone has commented briefly about this, I didn't steal my links of them and at least this way it will get more attention.

Bummer! Oh well, I'm glad they can work through the problems before the game hits store shelves. I'd rather have the problems now before the game gets released than to discover later that I have the game and can't run it very well.

Wierd i keep hearing this but i keep see the games coming out. the bigger disk is nice for faster loading but is not necessary right now.

2. PS3: Now the PS3's problems are apparently more complex as the actualy console doesn't have enough RAM for the game to run! I would've thought they would've taken this into accout when making the game personally, but maybe they're just plain n00bs?
Um if anyone is that stupid to think that the 360 has that much more RAM than PS3 well then god be with u, cause ur a dumbass.

360 has 522mb Ram total, 512mb for the system and to share with the GPU, and then 10vram on the GPU

PS3 has 512mb total, 256 for the system, and 256mg for GPU

If u think 10mb of RAM is going to determine whether a game can run or not, well u should just STFU.

@ Zapatoo, i am merely quoting rumors, and after further study of managing to read the genuine article realised i mis-enterprited RAM as memory handling, it has been changed now.

I was responding to the quotes of the article not u , i was mad at the game developers for complaining. IDK wut there talking about "memory" it has alot of RAM and a HDD as standard.

Are you sick of kids on Forza, racing round the wrong way?
Do you dream of a proper challange with decent guys?

But wouldn't this be negative hype? I mean, it makes one think that the game will suffer for both consoles. I think it's odd how we react to this news. I mean, wouldn't it make more sense to think that the game developers know more about their own problems than we do? It seems like every time a developer says that the DVD is a limiting factor in terms of storage, people retort that it's BS. It's not like Ubi is the only company saying it. What would convince you that it IS a problem? Do they have to cancel the game or something to convince you it's a problem? Won't happen for obvious reasons. Do they need to start shipping 360 games in two discs instead of one? MS would raise hell over that, so that's why game developers would rather take out features (PGR4 not having night and day, anyone?) than ship it in two discs, especially if the game is a free-roamer like this one.
