Assassins Creed is one of those games that either you will like it, or you will hate it. so far, about 75% of the people i have talked to love it and bought it. i rented it first, but plan on buying it. It is BY FAR the best graphics i have seen on 360 and there are a lot of things you have to "find" in the game to get all the achievements. this could take some time...
i would say rent it first to see if it is to your liking....

In the campaign, you carry out 9 assassinations. All 9 assassinations are the same, you climb on some view point tower that looks like every other view point tower in the city and you see some missions. Once you do, you complete a couple of them (note: there are 5 interrogation missions that you do over and over again for every assassination) and once you get enough info, you go and assassinate the person. Then you move on.

If you choose to do the same missions over and over, then its your fault that the game gets repetitive.
