Started playing this game a few nights after renting it... I've been through a few cities and they all look the same... They tell you exactly where to go... so its not like you get to know the cities at all while you're there... you just run from blinking dot to blinking dot and then you watch various cut scenes of different people saying basically the same thing. It's a great concept, and I'm sure there will be an Assassins Creed 2, which will probably build off what this game lacked.
Also I'm a little uninterested with playing as a guy in the present who's going through his memory.... every time i complete a level it is just kind of a distraction from the game to have to walk around the lab and go to sleep... I feel like they just added the whole lab, memory deal to cover up a weak plot.
Honestly, they should have just put everyone working on Assassin's Creed and put them on the next Splinter Cell game...
Oh yeah, Hype didn't kill this game for me... I only know about it because I work at Blockbuster and everyone is always asking for the game, but its always checked out... so we got it in and I rented it, not really knowing much about it... Now I know enough to stay away.
