It seems to be a love it or hate it game. I love it, personally. The story is great, and the historical accuracy is something that I love.
That said, it does get a bit repetitive and can sometimes be slow.
If you can, I'd suggest you give it a rent before purchasing.

As said above, rent first buy later. I personally enjoyed it for a few hours, but after doing the same thing over and over again, I traded it in before I even finished it.

I absolutely loved this game. I always played it, so much fun escaping guards, or just cruising around jumping buildings and what not. Fantastic storyline, like a movie. BUY

i've just rented it for 7 days.. and i've just killed the 5th guy on the list.. 4 more togo now.. and i've spent 11 hours total.. But i havn't started properly looking for the flags.. i've got like 18/20 from masyaf from just wondering around ha. The rest i don't think i could be bothered to find.. =) But yeh. rent first, as i think the second time i come around to completing it i'd be bored as hell.. Especially with no online. I look foward to AC2 though =)

DONT buy it, rent it. Fun game but no replay value.

I am borrowing the game from someone right now and I am actually impressed. The missions are fun, though you do the same thing for them, and the graphics are great. LOVE IT!

I don't really like it due to the repetativeness. Really did my head in just climbing buildings and jumping off and saving citizens over and over again and the bosses were easy
