Nah I don't think so
I think it all depends on how you set yourself up for the game and your ability to get sucked into the games story. When fear 1 came out I had just put together my super awesome custom pc (now a dinasaur at 4 yrs old) and the graphics and gameplay was amazing. I ALWAYS played alone and in an empty house w/ surround sound. When you would hear whispers it would be from behind you and yes it was scary. I never played the 1st FEAR on xbox but FEAR 2 on xbox is a joke on graphics and sound. I think the makers of FEAR 2 put a lot less effort into the game. Although in my opinion w/ the scenes of alma and ghosts and all that it did have potential.....sorry I'm ranting now......FEAR 2 is not scary at all but was fun and bioshock was awesome. To some it could be scary but in my opinion was not. *exhale* sorry I'm done

Agree, that game use to freak me out playing at 2AM with the lights out and no one home. That and the old RE's.

I'm a lot older and wiser now though...

I didnt think Bioshock was scary

Big time, havent had that experience with any other game other than RE and they kind of missed it in RE5. Great game, just not old school scary....
