Bioshock overrated - Page 4

First off for people complaining about the game being too dark, turn up your brightness! Seriously, I do this in a lot of games other then just bioshock. It doesen't make the game look any worse and it really will make your gaming experience a lot more enjoyable all around.

And on the subject of bioshock being over rated, if its getting 10's then I agree it is over rated. But I haven't seen any reviews higher then 9/10, and thats about where the game belongs.

It is a truly great and epic game, with just a little bit of room for improvement.

For people who are not satisfied with it because of lack of multiplayer or if it is too short, simply rent it. Thats what I did, and you get to enjoy this great game for 6-10 dollars?

As far as I am concerned, any way you look at it it is worth at least a rental. For what it is (a deep 1 player game), it is very satisfying.

^That's how I feel, or at least to me this game looks amazing. I will only rent it though because 25 hours of fun for $60 isn't for me.

I haven't played it yet, but on GameSpot's video review, it looked cartoony......i'm not sure if i like that in a game.

Saying that though, there's fuck all else out on Friday so i'll probably buy it anyway.

it's a matter of fucking opinion, some people dislike bioshock some people dislike halo, the fact that the two will be the most bought fps's until septembers 25 still counts for something.

The demo is supposed to 'sell' the game. I for one certainly buy a game depending on the demo. If the demo is crap, whose gonna buy it?

Dont get me wrong, Bioshock looks AMAZING, and its a GREAT game, it really is a benchmark IMO. But its down to personal preference. I dont think I would enjoy the game much. I couldnt even be bothered to finish the demo to be honest. Going through dark rooms and tunnels, killing enemies over and over......to be honest I will probably play it through at some point, but Im in no rush. And I can easily wait until the price drops anyways.

The reviewers gave it 10/10 for a reason so instead of dropping the game try finding out why the reviewers gave it such a high score. I played the demo and thought it didnt do it justice since you really dont get to play with most of the weapons and plasmids in the demo. Plus you didnt get to fight one of the Big Daddy's either. I'll pick mine up friday at the German Gamestop yeah they sell NTSC games there.

I still haven't got it yet but I'm pretty sure it's not overrated.
