Quick question: I have photographed all of these types of splicers both alive (action shots) and dead. Yet I still have not received the "fully researched..."

Am I doing something wrong or will those come later on?

Just keep doing it you will get them, don't forget cameras and turrets.

What do you mean, don't forget about them? Is there an achievement for researching security cameras and turrets?

i think its for researching the splicers, and the turrets.

There's an acheivement for researching all splicers, security cameras, turrets, big daddies and little sisters.

You can also research the security bots that fly out and attack you once you've activated the security measures by staying in the sight of a camera too long.

Each NPC has I believe four or five levels of research. You'll know when you've finished researching a type (for the first time at least) because you'll get a notice that you've gotten an achievement for fully researching an NPC.

Elite Rosies and Elite Bouncers aren't researched seperately from normal bouncers and rosies for whoever asked.
