Convince me to get this game - Page 2

yep badass game and if it wasnt for Halo 3 I would still be playing it.

Yeah, its not my job to convice anybody, but I'd to say that Bioshock kicks so much ass is not even funny. The story is just that good. Campaign mode in Halo 3 doesn't hold a candle next to Bioshock. Don't get me wrong; Halo is good, but in my opinion Bioshock is that much better. Thank the lord for the multiplayer.

In my opinion, if you need someone else to try to convince you to do something, you're the type of kid they make "peer pressure" after-school specials for.

Bioshock is a masterpiece of game design, and really should be experienced by anyone who enjoys playing games.

But seriously, if you USUALLY like online FPS', why would you want to be convinced to play something that you're not into?

Well I usually didn't like FPS's at all. Then someone convinced me to get the original Half-Life and Counterstrike and then I loved those games. But that was the only FPS I played, so the FPS genre in general still wasn't my thing. Then when I got my own PS2 and xBox, I only played games like GTA III or NCAA Football '04. A roommate convinced me to get one of those Tom Clancy games, and then FPS's started to grow on me.

Basically, making up your own mind can mean a lot of missing out. Having an open mind to things you were previously against can really expand your horizons. Instead of telling people they should make up their own mind, maybe you should see that having an open mind is more important.

Okay I've made up my mind. Not getting this game. I'm sure it rocks for the vast majority of gamers, though.

About not getting it? I know I'm not the only one... there's a group of people who are disappointed about no online multiplayer, and some claim it's too short (even though I know that those people just didn't take the time to look around and do everything as they played).
