ideas to improve the fontaine fight [Thread contains spoilers]
like alot of people i have seen i was disapointed by the fontaine fight, it was waay too easy and i think they should let u keep the atom you get during the fight and keep playing.
as for the actual fight, i was kinda hoping to fight 1-2 waves of at least 2 big daddies during one of his in-between phases. (the security turrets and splicers that they sent as adds were just too easy)
i also would like to see him split into 2 during the fight and have to fight 2 out of his 3 forms simultaneously
anyways i know it proabably wont make any difference but i just want to hear what people come up with

I agree, way too easy. Would be better if he wasn't so predictable, maybe if he had a load of different plasmids he could use.

It was fairly easy, the plasmids would have been a good idea.

I haven't finished the game yet but once you kill Fontaine can you go and explore the different levels or are you just done?

I've not completed the fight yet, but I have only tried it once. I take it you have to counteract what it is that he is.
EG: If he is on fire, you have to freeze him, if he is near water you can electrocute him?

I just kept shooting him with incendiary bolts and the shotgun, beat him first time as well.
He is just to predictable, you just have to move out of the way when he shoots at you and side step when hes charging at you.

I barely played the game at all. My girlfriend played through it on her own and the only parts I played were the machine hacks and the Fontaine fight (she tried twice and couldn't beat him so she asked me to try).
I assumed when he turned into a freezepop that you had to set him on fire but (and vice versa) but on my second attempt I just kept hitting him with the beehive hand shooting him with the shotgun. Killed him on the second try. It seemed like a fine ending to me (granted I didn't play through the whole game) but my girlfriend was like "What?! THAT'S IT?!!"

that fight was too easy, i think i just ran circles around him firing into the middle. pretty crap ending.. both of them that is.. i just hope Bioshock 2 is better!
