I'm a n00b need help!

I jst started the game and i am n the medical plaza but I am trying to hack a bot and i need to put together a puzzle to get the liquid to flow from the start to the finish. I can switch around the ones that are already uncovered but cant divert the flow more than one change piece. So you go to the covered tiles. I uncover them but how do i put them in the line so it works? Thanks, Bryce

when you uncover them go to the place where you want to put it and press A dude, you'll figure it out, just a little confusing at first and press Y when youve completed the root to allow the flow to go quicker.

after you uncover it, click on it again, the piece will be moved to a storage block on the left. then go to where you want to put it and click again. the stored piece will replace the one where you want to put it and the one you are replacing will go to the storage block.
