Fallout 3 players playing Borderlands

I'm in the same boat, but I havent picked it up yet. I had it in hand last night and passed, I really want to get it but with MW2 coming out I'm having second thoughts (I dont have a whole lot of time to play these days).

I dont know why I didnt get it, I know I'm not going to be able to hold out much longer as I have been waiting for this game.

Same here, I kept saying to myself "when MW2 comes out you wont be playing this!" So I waited until 4 hours before the midnight release to preorder. Im SOOOO glad I did, I am going to have a hard time pulling away from this when MW2 comes out... DOH.

Yes! Definitely let me know how you feel about it. We are both Oblivion and Fallout 3 fans so your opinion will definitely help.

Borderlands is more like Crackdown RPG, it has tons of cool guns, level ups, and classes. Co-op is awesome, I had blast with playing with random people online.

Bottom line, Fallout 3 does not fall into Borderlands, other than they both involve guns in an RPG environment, other than that, if you are buying this game for Fallout, you might be dissapointed.

Have you played it yet? I don't see how this game relates to Crackdown in any way except the graphics.

I've played both Fallout 3 and Oblivion to death and am currently blasting my way through Borderlands and I see no connection really. Yeah, they both take place in barren wastelands but I think the similarities end there.

I was pretty psyched to get the "and they tell two friends" achievement immediately upon jumping into my first multiplayer game as well.

I hated Fallout 3 but love Borderlands. I only rented it though.

As both a Fallout and Oblivion junkie I'd say yes, a fan of those games should enjoy this game. But you have to have a taste for fps's. So if you like Fallout, Oblivion and Bioshock then you can't go wrong.

And, despite what the advertising says (50/50 fps / rpg) I'd say it's more like 80/20 fps to rpg so if you're looking more for the rpg experience maybe wait 2 weeks for Dragon Age which outta be awesome.
