I think you just want to troll. You found a nice section to post this, of course allot of people will pick COD 4 over Halo 3 in here. I think allot of people are tired of these vs threads, they are annoying and end up in flames. Haven't you learn this yet?

Am getting Halo 3 first so the wife and I can do the coop (she likes Halo more than I though) and will get CoD4 when we finish that

this forum is wierd, you can't base your decisions of how popular halo is because a lot of people don't like it on this forum. halo is a hell of a lot bigger than call of duty though.
here are some fun facts about halo:
-Halo 2's sales generated US$ 125 million on its premiere day, making it the fastest selling United States media product in history. The game has sold over 8 million copies worldwide since release.
-Halo 2 fully supports online multiplayer via Xbox Live and held the top spot for the most played game on Xbox Live until the release of Gears of War It also still holds the record for the longest streak as the #1 game on Xbox Live
-It is expected to "set a new high water mark" for next generation games.
-Halo 3 is also expected to surpass the sales of Halo 2 and become the fastest selling game in the USA. Microsoft has stated that Halo 3 has passed 1,000,000 pre-orders.
