But you can customize classes, right? so surely you look different depending on what things (guns, nades) you choose to carry...

why would carrying a different grenade or gun make your character look different?
it just depends which side of the battle you're on...if you're a marine, you look like a marine, a terrorist, you look like a terrorist

Well snipers get camo suit. You can however, customize your entire loadout. Weapons, attachments, grenades, equipment, extra perks etc.
