I'm one for completely clearing an area. If I can help it I'll never run ahead when there are people to be killed.

The end part on Halo3 when the Ring is breaking up and you're in the warthog was horrible, I always wanted to stop fleeing and kill those Flood bastards

I totaly agree though that running to the next checkpoint is very unsatifying compared to clearing a level. I suppose its just the game style, CoD4 is the first CoD game I've played.
