I recently acquired the golden shotgun and while using it I had a great idea that would help the effectiveness of that custom class. This is what I did:

Primary Weapon - Golden Shotgun - Grip
Secondary Weapon - M16 - ACOG Scope
Perk 1 - None (weapon attachment)
Perk 2 - Overkill
Perk 3 - Steady Aim

This works really well because when you're using a shotgun and then you see someone too far for the shotgun's range, you can pull out the scoped M16 and kill them from a distance.

well it depends on map and game mode obv.
i normally play hardcore, and i use either the ak 74u with silencer or ak47 with red dot sight.
My perks are always claymores, uav jammer and last stand.
Obv if i'm playing on overgrown or something though then i'd use a sniper :P

If you like that you should really try the ACOG with it. It does 5 more damage and further increases hip accuracy.

I pretty much use the same thing, but an m14 with a red dot. Since I already have a m16 acog class.

I'm really liking the R700 at the moment, just got 100 kills with it so have stopped using it so I can level up the Dragunov, but it's a great gun.

Also the silenced G3 is owning for me at the moment.
