The best sniper in the game is the first one, the M40__.

With stopping power its as powerful as the 50 cal, I think a bit more, more accurate, better fire rate etc... Try it out and see for yourself.

i like the m21 because of the recoil, firerate, and the sound it makes. and by the way, all of the snipers do exactly the same amount of damage even though it says they do more or less. they all do 70 damage. i have seen the stats on the game from the pc version.

M21 = Little damage, okay accuracy, but good rate of fire (But you'll get called a noob for using it), mostly requires 2 headshots for a kill or 1 head one chest. Depends. You'll never more than likely get a one shot kill though. Also a good sniper to use up close and personal due to the fast rate of fire (semi automatic 1 round)

Dragunov = Good damage, good accuracy, good fire rate (not as fast as the M21 though). A well placed headshot would probs get you a 1 shot kill. Although not always. Like the M21, you have a good rate of fire so if you miss your first shot, or dont kill them, you'll have another chance.

M40A3 = High damage, High accuracy, slow rate of fire though(bolt action), if you dont get them with the first shot more than likely they'll kill you or duck out of sight. One head shot will kill them. Sometimes one chest shot aswell.

R700 = Quite a similar gun to the M40. Bolt action, 1 shot to head will kill. IMO though it has a better range than the M40A3. My personal favourite.

Barret = The highest damage. The most recoil. The loadest. The slowest rate of fire.

Take your pick.

A shot to the head with any of the sniper rifles will kill you.

That cant be accurate though becuase with the m21 and stopping power it almost always take 2 shots to the body to kill. every other gun usually one good shot to the body will do it. I dont think they are all the same. Maybe pretty close, but not the exact same.

u can check it out for other guns too. whenever i use a sniper i always get a one shot kill if i hit the chest and it is perfectly still. combine it with lag, distance, and running, what you think you hit isnt what u actually did. most of the time i hit a leg or an arm(can u even hit the arm?)

Coupled with Stopping Power the M40A3 is also one shot one kill, unless the enemy you are shooting at is using Juggernaut.

i usually go for the 50 cal cauz eveyrwhere i go i hear people talking about it.. so i thought it must be good...but it seems like i should try the draganov... i used it in single player earlier and it was pretty easy to use... not like the 50 cal... its mad hard for me rite now... the guy always seems to not die..

i found a way to make sniping more fun tho... do it in team hardcore... cauz then... muhahhah the snipers turn into one hit kill guns... without stopping pwer
