Ring Microsoft.

There has been an issue with the DVD drives damaging the discs.

I have a sort of related problem,
one game out of a hundred after the match is finished and the screen goes black, the DVD stops rotating in the drive and it never arrives to the lobby to show the final score, it halts for a second then says "The Disk is Unreadable".

it ONLY happens once a match is finished and so infrequently that it can't be the actual disc, as its brand new and never removed from the xbox :P

My xbox isn't used to play dvds so I don't know why there would be any problems.

I've been through two copies of cod4 and still no luck
I'm goin up to gamestop later today to see what they have to say about it.

Well, it happened again, on close inspection of the disc tray, there seems to be very fine dust on it in places, i guess they need to be cleaned from time to time, have done so with me finger, we will see what happens.
