what the hell chernobyl mission...

the last bit when you're waiting for the helicopter is friggen impossible. i've found a way to actually survive the 5 minutes barely but then i have to take macmillian to the helicopter. i swear this is impossible, i've been trying to do it for about a day solid now. seriously why the hell isn't there at least a checkpoint after the helicopter has arrived so you don't have to endure the god damn 5 minute massacre all over again. this level is really pissing me off.

does anyone have any tips?

oh and the one time i managed to get to the helicopter it fecking flew off without me and i was about a metre away.

When it lands make a run for it and the others will protect you. Do not hang about.

When the helicopter comes, bolt it to Macmillian, your friendlies will take most of the people out, and you might get hit one or 2 times, but not enough to kill you, unless your on Veteren...

I just did that level on vet, it was a killer, took me a good 40mins to get past that 1 part. I found in the 30second prelude drop claymores all over, next to vehicles to add extra boom for your buck.

I then layed down near mcmillan got out my sniper, then took out alot of the 1st group, dogs seemed to kill the rest .

next wave I sniped again, had 1 or 2 left when the helicopters arrived. I hid behind the hut to the left of the ferris weel and used ak to take out everyone from the 2nd and 3rd helicopter.

I then sprinted to the bumper cart area and hid behind that to then kill the remaining people with AK.

The copter landed I ran picked up mcmillan and left.

and ye its a git when you run outta time for things like that although I do have to say that the sniping mission was defo my fav mission so far

I saw some walkthrough where the player planted C4 at strategic locations then went and hid around a corner. It seemed like a pretty easy method as he only had to shoot a couple of baddies, but I never tried the technique.

I also hear that if you don't kill the dogs in the pool they will attack the second wave. Again, I don't have personal experience with this.

Oh, and just as an FYI, killing dogs counts as alerting an enemy and you will lose your chance at the XBL achievement for this level if you do. I was pretty pissed. I made it my personal goal to defeat every dog and it was pretty hard with a sniper rifle and pistol, plus they often killed MacMillan, but I finally managed to make it through the level after killing probably 30 or so wild dogs... And all I got for my work was the joy of playing through again to get the achievement.

If you put down your claymores before you actually put McMillan in the spot that he's supposed to go, you can use your remaining claymores and then when you put him down where you're supposed to you you'll get ten more. VERY USEFUL.
