Is k/d ratio or total kills better?

less deaths is always better. I dont care if you have the most kills but if you have too many deaths is not helping the team. But it also depends on what your playing.

depends what you play any objective game hq,s&d etc kd ration nor kills matter

i have a playtime of 14 hours and like 60k+ kills.. i get like 60+ kills every hq game i play (unless its a 250-0 whitewash) and i think im personally better than a sniper camper who gets 6-0 every game with a higher k.d ratio (overall) than mine.

I think it's pretty obvious that someone getting 4 kills and 2 deaths is better than 10 and 20.

Depends, if you're playing HQ and person 1 was a sniper, he may be doing jack to help the team. Guy 2 may have a lot of deaths, but he may also be charging hard to keep the enemy from getting an HQ.

i do both.. get like around 30 kills a match with less than 15 kills is good. to me anything below a 2.0 ratio is considered going negative... having a 1.0 ratio is fuken horrible and i dont even consider that positive anymore

i smell a bullshit, unless you meant 14 days played time

60,000 kills goes down to just over 71kills a minute average. I dont think its even possible to see 71 people a minute on cod4 unless you play on a massive game on the PC

its getting more and more that way for me too, 5/10 games nowadays I tend to manage a 3.0+ ratio although still 2/10 I can suck big time :/ why is it that as soon as I lag in 1 game I lag in every game I play till I log out??!! lol

nah i just meant that 2/10 is v v bad :/ ie 1-3 kills for 5-6 deaths highly embaresing. No matter how much I improve I still have games like this.

(the other 3/10 im more average 1-2 k/d ratio)
