Uh oh......BFBC VS. COD4 haha you knew it was coming!

Here it comes.....One of those "this game vs this game" blah blah!!
But for those of you who have played the demo for BFBC what do you think overall?
Does it stand a chance to take some of the cod4 community away? Or will it be like GTA4's mp where people got bored as hell and came back to cod4.

Heres my list of the pros and cons for both games

BFBC-Pros
1.Destructable enviroment
2.Sound effects are amazing(They are better then cod4's im sorry)
3.Nice arrangement of weapons
4.Ground/Air/Water based vehicles
5.Nice ammount of Ranks
6.Good points system
7.Fairly realistic as far as shooting goes. You actually have to plan your shots accordingly if firing from a distance.

BFBC-Cons
1.Gameplay is a little slow
2.Sometimes there a little lag but not like RSV2
3.It can be hard to make kills from a distance,(Which i know is realistic but can also be a pain)
4.Weapon swapping is a bit slow
5.You cant go prone like in all the other BF based games
6.You cant set your own kits up, for examplemake it so the sniper class has grenades or a rocket launcher.

COD4-Pros
1.Fast paced greatness
2. Nice arsenal of weapons
3.Plenty of challenges
4.Good ammount of maps
5.lots of gametypes
6.Nice weapon class system, perks and so forth
7.Great point system
6.Fairly easy to rank up
7.Headshot challenges/golden gun
8.Prestige mode

COD4-Cons
1.No online achievments
2.No Placeable LMG's,(Like placing LMGs anywhere you want on the map,Like in coduo)
3.We had to pay for 4 maps that most people skip.
4.The game is like a hardcore drug,Once its in your system, that little voice is like,C'mon man just another, and that one time turns into 4 then 10 then 35 you see where im going with this, its ADDICTIVE!(Thats really not a bad thing unless you have a life)

I honetly think that BFBC is a great game, i dont think its revolutionary like cod4 but i definitly think it will give it a run for its money.
Note too all.....This list and this thread is MY OPINION so if you cant handle that than dont bother posting.

I don't think they're really that comparable, I think people are comparing them as they have similar weapons and ranking, as well as a few other stuff, but if you play both extensively they are very different games. COD4 is has a very arcade feel and is very fast paced and competitive, whilst BF:BC requires teamwork and often a level of tactics to win the game. This is probably due to the gametype (Gold Rush) and the varied vehicles and character classes.
Both games have their individual styles of gameplay, and both are excellent, it's just a matter of preference which one you like.
This is just the multiplayer I'm talking about however, as a whole package, I'm assuming from the IGN review that COD4 will be better than Battlefield, due to it's single player.
I think it's also a bit unfair to compare them when Battlefield isn't even released yet and no one has played through it properly.

As far as comparing, im only comparing what i have played off of the demo.
And yes, they are two very differant games, but they also share the aspect of being a FPS.

I am definitely picking up my copy of Battlefield: Bad Company this Tuesday...but I will be alternating between the two. I can't leave COD4 behind, but I will never pass up on a Battlefield game.

Yeah the battlefield games were and are great just becouse of that wide open feeling they give off. I will more then likely do the same when it comes too switching between the two.

I'm pretty sure the only game that'll truely beat COD4 is COD5 or maybe even COD6. People will move to BFBC for the first few weeks of its release but soon enough people will start playing COD4 again.

I wasn't a fan of the demo, it's just way too slow.

Last paragraph from the BF:BC IGN review:

Quote:
In spite of its sluggish opening, Battlefield: Bad Company goes on to produce one of the most entertaining first-person shooters since last year’s Call of Duty 4. Bold and bright in tone, it’s blockbuster fare that combines DICE’s first-person expertise with a small sprinkling of innovation that’s enough to ensure it’s a perfect way to shoot the summer breeze.

Maybe you're so used to the pace of COD4 that you thought anything else was awkward? I'm sorta like that now, but I gave BC a couple of tries online and I ended up really liking the thing.

Alot of people are use to the fast paced games. And when you play cod4 then play this of course its gonna be akward. But the thing about this game is,Its 98% destructable! massive ammounts of weapons, tanks choppers all kinds of stuff. I mean anyone that plays cod4 im sure always wanted to control a chopper.Well you can in this game along with artillery. I think that alot of people arent really seeing the full potential of this game. Its endless, This game may not be horribly fast but its fast enough. Its more of a tactical type game not run and gun rambo style. Like i have been saying,This game has pretty realistic gunfire physics. People that are use to cod4 then play this and try to kill someone from across the map with anything other then a sniper rifle are in for a rude awakening. Thats one thing i love about bfbc,ITS REALISTIC!
Dont get me wrong, cod4 is the shiznat, but i think this game is just as good.
