Agreed. It all depends on how you play.
I like to play one above default on COD4, but on Halo 3 I sometimes play two above, so it feels like MLG controls.

I don't think he meant playing on a higher sensitivity makes you better, I think he meant in general the better players use higher sensitivity. It's true on any FPS. Higher sensitivity = better possible response time. Lower sensitivity makes it easier to shoot accurately. You don't need to play on a higher setting to be good, but it is an edge technically.
Personally I also play one above the default (not "High", but actually up one notch in the "Custom" setting). It's the best balance for me. Some times I still can't turn fast enough, but any higher and I start missing.
Give me a mouse, on the other hand, and I play at a ludicrously high sensitivity.

i play one above default - just what feels most natural
plus if the enemy hasn't changed the settings you can turn just that bit faster then he/she can.

I can only play on 7 to 10, when i watch my friends play it looks painfull the way his character takes like 12 times longer than my guy

I play on sensitivity of 6 and up.
Once I got good at using a higher sensitivity I became unstopable, wit crazy reflex's.
Plus you can do a 360 in the air for no scoping =)  |

I Have play on level 7 sensitivity on my controller for CoD4......and you rarely see me come in below 3rd or 4th place on any match. Sensitivity is there to accommodate how each individual plays. Having a high sensitivity does not neccesarily mean a player is better than another.
