No Fighting In The War Room

So im running through the game on Veteran and im at the mission "No Fighting In The War Room" I never really had too much trouble until i got here and for the last 3 days ive been stuck on this mission. I dont understand, ive tried about 10 different ways to approach it and nothing, and the worst part is you dont get a checkpoint so if you get to the end and die, boom, right back to the very beginning....anyone have any tips or anything?? Any help would be appreciated

The checkpoints are time based, so you will get them. If you reach the end of certain sections, wait a couple of seconds for it to acknowledge a checkpoint and then move on. Yeah, I know that mission, was stuck on it for ages too! 'tis a beatch!

I only have to complete that and One Shot, One Kill on veteran. Scared to try either as the first time I did it I got hammered.

Yeah, it really does blow, im actually still on the level. Ive been watching some youtube videos to see how other people have done it, ive noticed that alot of people used the grenade launcher but the gun ive been using (AK47) doesnt have that so i seem at quite a disadvantage, this is sooo frusrating

IIRC I completed it with the AK, but there is a guy to the right with a better gun (not sure what it is) as you enter the downstairs bit after the first set of stairs.

The way I did it, (if it helps) was to go left as you enter the downstairs bit where it is loaded with guys.
Go round that corner really slow and kill the two guys there (I got a checkpoint here), then shoot the other guys who come your way. Edge out slowly and kill the remaning guys your men haven't, and then make your way to the 'crossroads' where you have a blockasge straight ahead, and you go either left or right. I chose left, but the key is to take it slow, and crawl if need be.

Hope it helps, but your above post is a bit vague in relation to what bit your stuck on, the Guide should do it though

Alright I just finished the level on veteran last night, took around an hour. There are a few checkpoints, the first is when you get to the stairs, the second is passed the big room at the bottom of the stairs, the third is after the blast door, and the forth is when you get into the room to cancel the missile launch.

Checkpoints are NOT time based.

Use lots of flash grenades. For the first part before the first checkpoint, use the noobtube to clear the hallways.

I'm stuck at the bit with the narrow hall way with the deadend, you have a choice of going left or right, neither is preferable, I got past it and to the words slowest doors but ran out of time arrrggghhh. So i sacked it off and went back to playing on-line

Tooo save yourself time, on the end when they tell you to place a claymore you can just throw one from your inventory instead of waiting for them to tell you to place it.
