Intercontinental Lag
Hi all, just wondering if anybody else has noticed this.
I am not a brilliant player of COD by any standard however I have been known to hold my own. Sometimes I find that there are times when I'm in a room that is clearly european (i'm Irish) I get a certain amount of kills.If for whatever reason I leave and go into a lobby thats hosted say in America (lobby predominantly filled with americans) my kill count often goes way down.
Now I know that often contention becomes an issue and the various broadband speeds into the location are a factor but I was wondering if anyone else has noticed this, we could be talking from going from top to bottom on the same map played consecutively. I dont think my level is that inconsistant and that the players are that different.
Just wondering...................... I may also just be rubbish  |

as long as i don't host and a host has a good connection be it european,american or fucking arabian i don't get lag. Most times when i get lag the game ends.

Do u notice ur kill count decreasing or ur accuracy dropping? I was just wondering tho it stands to reason that if it takes the signal a split second longer to get to america then they have that split second headstart in firing so therfore their rounds will hit first???

As another thought then, if one person has say a 3mg line and another has an 8 mg line, well I wonder will the 8mg line be at an advantage as the info gets 2/from their x box quicker?

Ok maybe i went over the top..
as im in europe, when a american hosts, i get a shit connection due to the distance between me and my american friend. Happy?

I'm getting fucking sick of it.
During the day I get 10+ kills and only a couple of deaths of S&D, later on when it is always hosted in America, I can't do shit.
It's a joke.
